Maddie is Canada’s #1 Welsh Terrier for 2025

Grand Champion (Silver) Darwyn’s Mad about You, Maddie, is officially Canada’s #1 Welsh Terrier, and Canada’s #5 Top Terrier for 2025!

She did this by earning almost 1700 top dog points during 2025.  Top dog points are obtained every time a dog wins Best of Breed (BOB) and defeats another dog.  Points come from defeating other dogs at the breed, group and best in show level of competition.  Each point represents 1 dog defeated during the calendar year.

During 2025, Maddie was awarded:

* 1 all-breed Best in Show

* 4 Reserve Best in Shows

* 16 Terrier First Group Wins

* 21 Group 2nd

* 12 Group 3 and 4 placements

Three-quarters of Maddie’s BOB wins, she was awarded a group placement.  What we are very proud of is that one-third of her Group 1st wins, she went on to being awarded a top honor of the Best in Show or Reserve Best in Show!

This was Maddie’s second time being Canada’s top Welsh Terrier!  In 2024, shown initially as a puppy, she also was Canada’s #1 Welsh Terrier, and one of Canada’s Top 10 Terriers throughout the county!
